This randomised floating mongrel teleports from room to room, shooting lasers or dropping bombs that slow the player down. The problem with this harassment enemy is that because you’re the only ‘real’ player in your run, it only seems to want to shoot at you rather than the many ghost players pinwheeling about you.
Despite all my efforts to line it up in the right way, it would only occasionally work. This meant almost instant death every time, which was especially frustrating when I was trying to outrun a Guardian.
My biggest gripes with this action platformer concern the temperamental physics, repetitive maps, and lengthy load times.

Say hello to the most limited movement option in the game. A high-jump sounds good on paper, but in most Phantom Abyss situations, your whip (especially with Long Whip or Double Jump) will get you as high as you need to be.
